Summer is hot! Iced teas are the best drinks to sip on throughout the day to keep yourself feeling cool and healthy. Here are just a few reasons why you should be drinking iced tea instead of grabbing juice, soda or beer from your fridge:

• It boosts metabolism and mood.

• It keeps you relaxed and de-stressed
The best way to help your body run efficiently is to make sure you are drinking enough water. Many people struggle doing this. One way you can increase the amount of water you are drinking throughout the day is to make these three iced tea recipes. These allow for lots of flavor but also keep you hydrated. The Tea Can Company has three blends that are perfect to sip on morning, noon and night.

MORNING – Iced Japanese Match Tea Latte
This is one of our favorite drinks to sip on first thing in the morning. Our Japanese Matcha Iced Tea has a balance of sweetness, creaminess and pure green tea flavor. Contains caffeine.
1 teaspoon of Japanese Matcha Tea (a little powder goes a long way)
8 ounces milk (any kind you prefer)
Ice cubes
Sweetener (optional)
Put Japanese Matcha Tea powder in a cup with your choice of sweetener. Slowly pour in milk, whisking with a milk frother, small whisk or spoon to combine. Continue mixing until your Latte is frothy. Add ice cubes. Tip: if your latte is getting too watered down from ice cubes, mix matcha with milk and pop into ice cube trays.

NOON – Coconut Lime Iced Tea
This refreshing iced tea uses our Organic Nilgiri Tea. This is a full-bodied black tea. Have you ever tried making your own iced tea using coconut water? It is naturally sweet, and you can balance out the flavor by adding some sweet limes and a few black tea bags. This recipe will keep you energized and rejuvenated to get you through your day. Contains caffeine.
2 black tea bags (Organic Nigiri Tea)
½ lime, thinly sliced
3 cups coconut water heated
Raw honey or another sweetener (optional)
Add 2 black tea bags (Organic Nigiri Tea) and sliced lime to a one-quart mason jar or pitcher. Pour heated coconut water into jar and allow to steep for 15 minutes. Remove tea bags. Place in fridge for 3-4 hours to chill and release flavors.

NIGHT – Daily Detox with Lemon

6oz. Water
Ice cubes
Sliced lemon
Add one Daily Detox tea bag to a 12 oz. class. Pour 6 ounces of heated water into glass. Let steep for 5 minutes (or longer). Add ice cubes, lemon slices and sweetener (optional). Let cool.
